Ancient Brother Wish List

In less than two weeks, I go on my journey of being 27. Yes, it's an announcement of my upcoming 27th birthday. I though this age was like ancient when I was 12. Now I am that ancient brother.

Instead of putting my wish list on my own blog, let me put it here so everybody can read it.

1. Quiet time. I need the alone time. No calls at 10 in the evening.
2. Gym time. I need to sleep at 9 every night to keep my 7AM exercise appointment. Let me sleep. Which brings me to...
3. Sleep time. Saturdays are designed so that people can sleep until noon without judgement. Let's schedule events on a Saturday afternoon or evening please. Don't ask me to drive somewhere early Saturday morning.
4. Relaxing time. A massage would be nice, however NY prices are like mortgages compared in Manila. Just somebody promise me that I won't get judged when I get daily massages when I get to Manila for a vacation.
5. If you still want to give me "world-ly" stuff, here's a shortlist of stuff that I would want but isn't essential for my existence:
  • Mio Watch
  • A wide, big buckled, leather black belt
  • A Massage
  • A Mac
  • A watch case (sort of like a jewelry box for watches, I don't know if they make this, a box that can hold a lot a watches).
  • Starbucks GC
  • A trip to London (maybe after June, I won't need a visa to go there!)

on two counts

mental fatigue:
i just submitted my three-page essay a couple of minutes ago. yesterday, i had a 100-item midterms exam that covered 14 chapters of our book...the entire book plus several articles, handouts and powerpoint lectures. a day ago, i was editing an article and event letters/sponsorship packages. last week, i churned out 5 reaction papers on 5 different topics ranging from information techology, IT maxims and global warming. and 1 case report with powerpoint presentation that i completed by myself...it was supposed to be a group effort by 4 people! in between school and sleep - i prepared event costings, client proposals and planned logistics and details for an outreach activity, a birthday party and three weddings.

physical fatigue:
it is a known fact that aside from wednesday classes in rcbc, i travel all the way to ortigas every thursday to attend a 6-9pm class. class hours equal travel time, plus the arguments with irritating cab drivers. i sleep past 12mn and wake up before 8am. on rare opportunities that i can take a nap, the phone would ring or a text message will beep that would push me to get up and open my planner and notebook. being in events, working on a sunday is such a common occurrence. i can't contact the cleaning lady who helps tidy up the condo unit, so i have been doing the room and toilet cleaning. attended to two couples who will be tying the knot this may and july - suppliers/flowers sourcing, menu sampling in tagaytay, designing and printing wedding invites, out of town ocular. prepared jackie's party - looked and ordered her theme cake, search for possible venues, walked around the block to get the caterer's faxed menu. in between everything, had to rush to client meetings, prepare visuals, visited a friend in the hospital, attended family dinners, my monthly errand of going to three banks in different and far away branches...just thinking of what i have been doing adds toll to the weary self...

oh...in case i don't make sense, commit grammar and spelling booboos, just bear with me...

and i am not complaining or anything...just want to release...on two counts.

i think i need a hug...
