Big 6-0!

If yesterday's event was not an outstanding testament to my mom's character, I would like to know where I can get a refund for the party.

It was yesterday that the family celebrated my mom's 60th birthday celebration (and if you are Chinese, you know exactly how old she is...). One word to summarize the day... family.

Everybody was either a tita (aunt) or tito (uncle), lola (grandmother) or lolo (grandfather).  Almost everybody was a cousin to the nth degree. Family drove up from Maryland just to be here for my mom's birthday. One Tita (a highschool friend of my mom), took the early morning train from DC after her night shift at the hospital just to attend the event.

And of course... us siblings were complete! A complete family (in our own sense of the word).

Thank you to everybody who took time out from their schedule to be with us and celebrated Lorna Torrecampo as a friend, companion, aunt, sister and mom!
