Care Package

Few days ago, my cousin and her kids arrived from their month long trip to manila. My sister had been insisting me to go to their place and pick up the care package that she has sent for us. Knowing how tiring a 20-something hour flight could be, I decided to wait another day to let them settle in. then I was told that they went to poconos for the long weekend, so I had to wait a couple more days.

Anyhow, since I have been out the whole day, and horacio and I were passing by their place returning home. We decided to drop by their place and pick up the things. As soon as we got their, we were surprised on how much my sister had sent for us. we stayed for a while, chatted and rested our tired feet, then decided to haul the things back home.

As soon as we got home, I immediately tried to open the blue bag that my sister had insisted that I would enjoy so much. I tried to rip the packaging tape that she ever-so-tightly wrapped around it. I conquered and claimed my two sandals from the bazaar, and horacio claimed the flip-flops!!

Then I went and pried open the white box that has my name on it. The sarong and blue shirt that I have left behind welcomed my site and threw them aside. Then I found a poster of the teleserye that I have been drawn to since my last visit. I thought it was funny (nice) touch, since she told me that the dvds (that I have been begging for) won’t be available until September – too late for my cousin to bring. As I took things out I discovered not one, not two but FIVE DVDs of LOBO!! I shrieked! I danced! I was exhilarated!! She is such a surprise-puller (is there such word?)!! I took everything out (which included a dress, Spanish fans, wedding magazine, starserve buttons and shirts), laid them all out, took a picture, placed them all in the box. Took them to my room.

Now, if you text or call me, and I seem to not answer. I am watching lobo.
