hello?? anybody home??

it's been quite a while since any of us had a chance to update here. i have been thinking of reviving this little blog (do people still blog?).

oh well, let's see... since the last update, we...

- (i am) are expecting another bundle of joy! due on august 23rd!

- the two little rascals that we have right now (my little girl and my bro's little boy) are such.. rascals! they just love each other. and it's such a great feeling seeing how close they are. i just hope and pray that they do continue to grow together and just be the best buddies ever.

- we've been having some epic/legendary meal times! from pw-inspired brunch to boodle fight (kamayan) nights! (more on that on a later post - with pics!)

yep... so far, that's all i could think of right now. (haha!) hope to post again soon!

before i go, thoughts and prayers to our family back home. with the typhoon hitting again, stay safe everyone!!!

Big 6-0!

If yesterday's event was not an outstanding testament to my mom's character, I would like to know where I can get a refund for the party.

It was yesterday that the family celebrated my mom's 60th birthday celebration (and if you are Chinese, you know exactly how old she is...). One word to summarize the day... family.

Everybody was either a tita (aunt) or tito (uncle), lola (grandmother) or lolo (grandfather).  Almost everybody was a cousin to the nth degree. Family drove up from Maryland just to be here for my mom's birthday. One Tita (a highschool friend of my mom), took the early morning train from DC after her night shift at the hospital just to attend the event.

And of course... us siblings were complete! A complete family (in our own sense of the word).

Thank you to everybody who took time out from their schedule to be with us and celebrated Lorna Torrecampo as a friend, companion, aunt, sister and mom!

The Journey Continues with a Baby in Tow

It has definetly been a long while. Aside from new chapters that began, the siblings goes into another great big adventure.

I am excited to be an uncle soon. Jen just announced that she is 12 weeks pregnant!

As she receives the congratulatory texts, Facebook messages, calls etc, we also offer our prayers of thanks and a blessings for this new "journey" to motherhood.

the 100th post

It has been more than a year since one of us had posted... And I kinda missed hearing (reading) each others musings, and I'm pretty sure mom does too.

So, to summarize what had went on our journey for the past year:

- our brother got married in july.
- our dad celebrated his (first!) Birthday in new york.
- mom is still driving us nuts (love you mom!)
- our eldest's business - digicon - is thriving.

It has been a whirlwind journey, and hopefully we'd be able to share it more with you (mom).
